Prom Night (2008)
Director - Nelson McCormick
Starring - Brittany Snow & Scott Porter
Didn't mind it. Got pretty emotionally involved. Wouldn't say I was scared, more frustrated with the characters movements. This is pretty standard for a horror move when I seem to dish out the old - "Don't go there!" and "Look out!" - but that doesn't stop me from enjoying the film.
Follows a very predictable structure which annoyed me a little bit. The good horror/thriller films are the ones that have the audience in absoloute disillusion before revealling a great/frightening twist that ends up making so much sense. This didn't do that. If you thought someone was going to die, that would normally die, and when you knew that all wasn't well then you were more often than not correct.
Regardless, it's a pretty cruisy sort of flick. Easy to watch, get a cheap scare and enjoy another traditional Hollywood teen horror film. I recommend it to anyone that doesn't mind these sort of movies but don't go in t here with high hopes!
