Ok, so you're on a first date and everything seems to be going great. When you leave he gives you a quick hug and says, "It was great meeting you". Is this a good thing to hear? Does it mean he liked meeting you and wants to see more of you or does it mean meeting you will be the extent of your interaction? What if he says it at the start of the date? Does that change everything???????

This is just one example of the confusing dating world that exists in this clever romantic-comedy. The film as a whole tries to highlight the fact that women are always looking for a sign from their man. Everything that he says or does is analysed by them, in depth, until they believe they know what he meant. The sad truth for them is that the male never intended for this to happen. As Alex (Justin Long) states, if a guy wants to be with a girl, he will make sure he is. Put simply, if he's keen, he'll have a crack.

It's a pretty simple and engaging plot. It follows the dating lives of about 10 different people; all who are in different situations but are somehow linked to one another in someway in what is a very 'Love Actually' type scenario. It provides a lot of laughs, more so because it has you thinking, 'Ohh so true', whenever something mildly crude takes place. Mixed in with these light-hearted situations are the more deep, heart-felt and emotionally raw moments. Dealing with a break-up after seven years of companionship, a married man trying to fight the temptation of cheating on his wife and teenage sweetheart and just trying to find Mr. Right when everyone she meets is 'just not that into' her.

It's a really enjoyable, emotionally gripping, (informative) and easy to follow flick. Although it can seem exhausting at times you never really lose total focus. It really illustrates the complicated nature of the dating game but also the fact that it can be just that, a game, and if you're not playing it, how can you possibly win?

To me it's very watchable and I really loved it. Ginnifer Goodwin is the best performed in an all-star cast and she may have done enough to carve out what should be a pretty successful acting career.

Go and see it, take your partner with you or go on a first date with someone. Just make sure your careful with what you say when you leave the cinema, because it could mean a lot more than you initially thought!
